On 11 November 2016, the book ‘De adaptieve luchthaven – Schiphol naar de toekomst’ was presented at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. This collection of essays, edited by Bart de Jong and Joost van Faassen, looks at how our national airport will look in 2116 .
Gert was interviewed together with Yvonne Lub and Barbara Luns of the Harlemmermeer and Schiphol Podium for Architecture for one of the book articles. The article Een thuis voor ontheemden discusses the room for experimentation and opportunities that the flexible grid structure of the Haarlemmermeerpolder offers for IDP’s and refugees.
